There are times when the situations we come across bring anxiety or worry into our lives. The uneasiness of not having the issue resolved is always on the mind, creating tension until the event passes.
In Philippians 4:6-7 (MEV), it states.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
To be anxious for nothing is often easier said than done. Sometimes we come across scripture that we know would work if only we can get past a certain point, and in this case, it’s the anxious thoughts that are in our mind.
Some have found expressing writing to be beneficial in how they process and deal with thoughts and emotions.
What if we applied the same process of expressing our anxious thoughts and feelings by writing it down, and after letting them go, with a peaceful mind and heart, we make our requests known to God.
When in supplication, wouldn’t gratitude come forth easier after clearing away some of our anxious thoughts and emotions?
Think about how much more effective we would be in prayer?
